IQ Electrical Systems are experienced with multidisciplinary electrical and Telecommunication installations and maintenance. Our experience is proportionate with the installation of high, medium and low voltage reticulation and distribution, data installations, building management services, specialist trades group and technical services coordination.
We have experience in both business unit and coal-face project management, Commensurate with active hands on trade group supervision, coordination and development .
Personal strengths in managing both a business unit and projects are credited to strong team leadership, effective organizational and time management skills, admirable personality and interpersonal qualities, delivering a high standard of professionalism at all levels .
Our ability to lead is supported by an accomplished knowledge and understanding of performance management, the effective formulation of personnel and resources providing control and attendance through quality team participation leadership and directional focus.
Our Industry experience is supported by an accomplished knowledge of construction and trade group management areas, requirements and applications, strengthening our ability to administer the relevant activities associated with business unit and project management.
IQ Electrical Systems have formed an impeccable relationship with Southcorp Wines, Beringer Blass Wine Estates and Amcor Glass over the past 7 years and are continually involved with installations and maintenance in all aspects associated with the production of wine in both the Barossa Valley and throughout Australia.
IQ Electrical Systems have recently completed four years of critical electrical/automation planned upgrades for Beringer Blass Super Winery.
IQ Electrical Systems are a preferred electrical contractor for Beringer Blass Wine Estates, Amcor Glass, Sage Automation and Mossop Constructions. We cover electrical services for project works, from Yenda in New South Wales, Mildura in Victoria to the Coonawarra and the Barossa Valley in South Australia.
Occupational Health Safety and Welfare
IQ Electrical Systems have established Occupational Health Safety and Welfare (OHS&W) polices and procedures with documented discipline. The OHS&W Action Plan enables continuous improvement through the creative involvement of all our employees via our OHS Committee.
IQ Electrical Systems are very conscious of the necessity and importance to engage an OHS&W Plan for our work sites. We are committed to an effective safety management system, which provide a safe working environment for all employees.
Safety is everyone's responsibility therefore safety rests equally on all parties working together. We encourage active cooperation in order to MAINTAIN and IMPROVE our standards continually.
It is our policy to ensure we maintain and improve our standards of Occupational Health and Safety through operating practices that safeguard all our employees.
IQ Electrical Systems have standard Work Method Statements (WMS’s) to cover our more routine tasks and additionally all of our Project Managers and Site Supervisors are trained in Hazard Identification and Risk Management enabling them to complete JSA’s (Job Skill Analysis) and WMS’s as required on our work sites.
IQ Electrical Systems have a dedicated OHS Manager. The OHS Manager maintains our Safety Systems and our Policies and Procedures are continually updated to ensure compliance and a safe working environment for all our employees.
Our HSE Manager has completed Certificates III and is currently completing Certificate IV and the Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety to facilitate continuous improvement of our safety systems and has completed Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training to ensure we can maintain a well trained, appropriately licensed and safe working team. Our OHS Manager has also completed Certificates I and II On-site Safety Supervisor enabling him to supervise on Construction Sites as required. He was also recently awarded Employee of the Year 2005 at the SafeWork Awards 2005.

Testing and Tagging Electrical Equipment It is now "mandatory" for leakage current tests to be undertaken with Class I and Class II equipment that has an electronic, magnetic or membrane type on/off switch. (e.g. Most Office equipment, some domestic appliance and many power tools)
Many of the Personal Appliance Testers (PAT) that are currently being used do not meet all the requirements of the Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760 especially the Earth Bond Test.
IQ Electrical Systems underlying belief is that the best "testing appliance" increases efficiency, reduces down time and saves money. With this belief in mind we have purchases the "Protag Appliance Safety Testing package". The Protag package incorporates a tester that has "testing characteristics" that are considered to be the "Best Practice" for testing the earth connection of an appliance.
