OHS Committee
IQ Electrical Systems encouraged our staff to nominate a Health and Safety Representative and helped him form an OHS Committee after he returned from training. The Committee, which is now well into it's second year meet once every month on the first Thursday of the month to discuss any health and safety issues which might need resolution. More urgent matters are dealt with at the time by calling an emergency meeting of the committee. Thankfully these meetings are rare. The Committee decide each month on an issue that might need to be promoted in the workplace and an A3 colour poster is produced to promote health and safety issues in the workplace. The Committee also decide the Employee of the month from those nominated. The criteria for this award includes safety and other important aspects.
